JOURNAL DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT UNIT STIT MUHAMMADIYAH KEDIRI

1. Objective

To ensure that all journal publication processes within STIT Muhammadiyah Kediri are free from publication malpractice and uphold the highest standards of academic integrity.

2. Ethical Conduct Standards

  • Authors: Must ensure that the submitted manuscript is an original work, has never been published in any other journal, and properly cites all reference sources.

  • Editors: Must evaluate manuscripts objectively without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or institutional background of the authors. Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.

  • Reviewers: Must review manuscripts critically and objectively, and immediately report to the editor if they detect any indications of plagiarism or conflicts of interest in the reviewed manuscript.

3. Ethical Misconduct Handling Workflow (Adopting COPE Standards)

  • Complaints & Allegations: If there is a report of alleged misconduct (from reviewers or readers), the Editor-in-Chief will temporarily suspend the publication process of the respective article.

  • Clarification: The Editorial Board will send an official clarification letter to the corresponding Author. The Author is given a maximum of 14 working days to provide a response.

  • Panel Decision: If a severe violation is proven (such as data manipulation or ghost authorship), the article will be Rejected (if unpublished) or Retracted (if already published online), accompanied by an official announcement on the journal's website.
